Paroka Silkwhisper
Monk
Paroka Silkwhisper
Species
Tabaxi
Appearance
Paroka is a lean tabaxi with a long, swimmer's body and the taut grace of a drawn bow. His fur is ash-gray brushed with cinnamon bands, but the fur along his forearms has silvered with age far earlier than the rest of him, as if moonlight took root there. He moves with almost insulting quiet, paws placing themselves with surgical care, yet his shoulders are often dusted with chalk, ash, or flower pollen from whatever shrine or rooftop he last climbed. One ear is nicked in half, and the other is pierced with three tiny rings that jingle only when he is angry. The most memorable thing about him is the contradiction: his face is severe and monastery-calm, but his tail is wrapped in bright prayer ribbons tied with childish knots from long-dead students. When he is at rest, he sits motionless as a carved idol, but when he turns to speak he seems to unwind in a single fluid motion, like a spring released underwater.
“Measured, low, and precise, with a habit of ending accusations as if they are simply inconvenient facts. He speaks like a teacher who has spent too many years watching students become liars, and he softens only when speaking about the innocent or the dead.”

Distinguishing Features
A crescent-shaped scar runs across his nose bridge and disappears into the fur of his cheek.
His tail is wrapped in faded prayer ribbons tied by former students and dead friends.
Three small brass rings hang from one ear, each engraved with a vow he no longer fully believes.
His forearm fur has silvered early, giving him the look of someone touched by moonlit salt.
He carries the scent of rain on stone and burned incense even in dry weather.
Voice
“A calm, husky baritone with a faint seaside rasp, as though every sentence has passed through salt water before reaching the listener.”
Clothing
He wears layered monk wraps of indigo linen and smoked gray silk, reinforced at the seams with waxed cord. The hem is embroidered with tiny wave motifs, but the sleeves are patched in three different styles from three different monasteries. A narrow sash holds prayer beads, throwing stars, chalk sticks, and a folded harbor map. He goes barefoot unless crossing hot stone, in which case he wears soft leather split-toe sandals.
Body Language
Still and economical in repose, then suddenly precise in motion, with a habit of tilting his head as though measuring invisible currents around a person.
