Nithaan Sablethorn
Bard
Nithaan Sablethorn
Species
Eladrin
Appearance
Nithaan is a lean eladrin with the bearing of a court musician and the nervous stillness of a stalking cat. His skin looks like polished amber under lamplight, but close up it is threaded with faint leaf-veins of silver that appear and vanish with his mood. He wears his moon-pale hair in a long braid that has been deliberately frayed at the end, as if it were the tail of a comet. His left horn is chipped at the tip, though it is carefully gilded, and his fingers are stained with ink, resin, and old rose dye from countless string instruments. He moves as though every step is part of a rehearsal, graceful and precise, yet he occasionally pauses to listen to silence with an expression of hungry grief. The most unsettling thing about him is his smile, which can be warm enough to comfort a room and sharp enough to warn it.
“Soft, precise, and melodic, with a habit of landing on metaphors involving weather, glass, bells, or birds. He can sound like a lullaby one moment and a court indictment the next.”
Alignment
Distinguishing Features
A chipped horn capped with a delicate gold sheath
Silver-veined skin that brightens when he casts spells
A veilharp shaped like a crescent ribcage
One iris ringed in pale green and the other in gold
A thin scar across his throat that never fully vanished
Voice
“Velvet and resonant, with a faint echo on certain words, as though he is always half a step inside a performance hall.”
Clothing
A layered coat of midnight velvet and copper-thread brocade over practical travel leathers, with a high collar lined in moth-fur, fingerless gloves for string work, and a sash that holds charms, picks, and folded letters. He wears one formal silver epaulet and one plain wrapped shoulder, a visual reminder that he has one foot in court and one in exile.
Body Language
Elegant and restrained, with small, deliberate gestures. He tilts his head like a listener at a recital, keeps his hands close to his chest when cautious, and lets his fingers flutter when excited, as if conducting an invisible ensemble.
