Morag Thunderforger
Cleric, Forge Priest
Morag Thunderforger
Species
Mountain Dwarf
Appearance
Morag Thunderforger is a compact, broad-shouldered dwarf whose movements have the deliberate rhythm of a blacksmith shaping a blade. His skin is deep copper-brown and roughened by decades of heat, with fine silver scars crossing his knuckles and left cheek like hairline cracks in cooling metal. His beard is braided into seven thick cords, each tipped with a different iron bead taken from a fallen Emberdeep foreman. His eyes are pale amber, bright as furnace windows, and his left eyebrow is permanently singed away. He smells of soot, cedar oil, and rain on hot stone. Though he dresses like a stern priest and carries the weight of a forge-master, he has an unexpectedly gentle smile and tends to cradle injured animals as if they were sacred relics.
“His voice is low, resonant, and carefully measured, like a hammer striking an anvil in a distant chamber. He pauses before names, gives commands without raising his volume, and lets silence carry the weight of grief.”

Distinguishing Features
Seven beard braids tipped with iron beads from fallen Emberdeep foremen.
A permanently singed left eyebrow and a thin web of silver scars over his knuckles.
A broken forge bell shard implanted beneath the skin of his right palm, which vibrates near planar magic.
A blackened Moradin medallion that remains warm even in ice.
His shadow occasionally flickers like a flame when the planar breach is active.
Voice
“Low, resonant, and patient, with the deep rhythmic cadence of a hammer striking iron.”
Clothing
He wears layered charcoal robes beneath a soot-darkened breastplate embossed with Moradin's hammer and anvil. A red wool mantle is clasped with a chipped brass medallion, and his heavy boots are fitted with heat-resistant soles. The hem of his robe is patched with scraps of banners from fallen forge clans.
Body Language
Morag stands with his feet planted wide, as if bracing against an unseen tremor. He rubs his thumb over the head of his hammer when thinking, leans toward injured or frightened people, and turns his whole body toward anyone speaking to him. During prayer, he presses two soot-blackened fingers to his heart and keeps his eyes open.
