Species
Goblin
Appearance
Vekka is a small male goblin with a hunched, quicksilver posture and long fingers permanently darkened by tannin. He moves like a loose bundle of twigs animated by a private rhythm, stopping abruptly whenever he notices a flaw in someone's clothing or armor. His face is narrow and foxlike, with one ear folded from an old burn and a mouth full of mismatched teeth. He wears a string of polished animal teeth around his neck, yet his hands are astonishingly gentle, capable of stitching a moth's torn wing to a scrap of silk. The contradictory impression he leaves is that of a feral scavenger who might be the most careful craftsperson in the room.
“Vekka speaks in a quick, rasping murmur that accelerates when he is excited and slows into unnerving precision when angry. He peppers ordinary conversation with workshop metaphors, old goblin proverbs, and abrupt observations about seams, scars, and weak points.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar crosses his chin in the shape of a stitched crescent.
His left ear is folded and glossy from an old burn.
A hidden red thread is sewn through the cuff of his apron, marking him as a protector of escaped prisoners.
His fingertips are permanently stained amber-black by tannin and dye.
He carries a tiny silver bell that never makes a sound because its clapper was removed.
Voice
“A rapid, papery rasp with sudden delighted chirps. When Vekka is genuinely furious, his voice becomes quiet enough that people must lean closer to hear him.”
Clothing
A sleeveless soot-brown leather apron patched with red, blue, and pale white scraps. Beneath it he wears a faded green shirt, knee wrappings, soft split-toe boots, and a belt crowded with awls, needles, chalk, clamps, and tiny bottles of dye.
Body Language
Vekka tilts his head toward sounds before looking at their source. His shoulders remain hunched, but his hands are always busy with thread, buckles, or scraps of hide. When lying, he becomes unusually still and presses his thumb against the edge of his left palm.
