Appearance
Milo is a compact, weathered man with the dense, balanced build of someone who has spent decades lifting kegs and slipping away from fights. His hands are broad and scarred, but his fingers move with surgical delicacy when counting coins or trimming a wick. He walks with a slight forward lean, as if listening to the floor through his boots, and never turns his back fully on a room. His face is square, sun-lined, and usually flushed from the ovens, with a pale crescent scar cutting through his left eyebrow. The unexpected thing about him is his immaculate smile: bright, gentle, and almost boyish, even when he is threatening someone.
“Milo speaks in a low, courteous voice with clipped sentences and occasional mountain idioms. He rarely swears, which makes the rare use of a harsh phrase feel deliberate.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar through his left eyebrow
A red woven wrist cord faded almost pink with age
A missing lower canine tooth replaced by a small polished brass cap
A habit of balancing a coin on the back of his hand while listening
A faint smell of juniper smoke clinging to his clothes
Voice
“Warm and gravelly, like low speech carried over a crowded room, with a faint mountain cadence and a sudden razor edge when danger appears.”
Clothing
A charcoal vest over a cream linen shirt, a dark green apron marked with old flour stains, reinforced trousers, soft leather boots, and a red woven cord around his wrist from his childhood mountain community
Body Language
Milo keeps his shoulders relaxed and his hands visible, but his weight is always positioned toward the nearest escape route. He tilts his head slightly when someone lies, taps two fingers against the bar when calculating risk, and becomes perfectly still when genuinely afraid.
