Appearance
Brother Iron-Pulse is a stocky dwarf who looks carved rather than born, with squared shoulders, a barrel chest, and hands thick as tool heads. His beard is a surprisingly neat fan of copper-red braids bound with tiny iron clasps, but one braid is threaded with white wax beads from funeral candles. His skin has the color of old bronze and the texture of hammered leather, marked by pale ritual scars across the scalp, knuckles, and the inner forearms. He walks with a measured, reverent limp, as if each step is tested for moral weight before it lands. He wears austere black wool under a soot-gray vestment, yet the hem is embroidered in gold thread that glitters like church treasure. The contradictory element is his gentleness: despite his iron-stern name and severe garb, his eyes are warm, tired, and almost maternal when he tends to the injured.
“Deep and gravelly, with a careful cadence and a habit of ending important sentences on a soft, downward note, as if hammering them into place..”

Distinguishing Features
A jagged white scar runs from his left ear to his collarbone, shaped like a cracked pillar.
His right thumbnail is permanently darkened from ritual ash and incense resin.
He wears a small iron reliquary shaped like a broken tooth, said to contain the last coal lit in the collapse chapel.
One of his eyes has a faint gold ring around the iris, giving him an uncanny, ember-lit stare.
Voice
“Low, rumbling, and controlled, with a devotional cadence that can become startlingly gentle when he offers comfort.”
Clothing
Layered charcoal vestments over practical chain shirt links hidden beneath the cloth, with iron toggles, prayer beads of slag glass, and a travel cloak lined in ash-white wool.
Body Language
Still and deliberate, with hands usually folded behind his back or cupping prayer-rings at chest height. When listening, he tilts his head like a mason judging a cracked pillar. In combat, his stance narrows and lowers, as if he is bracing against an avalanche.
