Aureth
Divine Adjudicator
Aureth
Species
Outsider
Appearance
Aureth appears as a tall, austere figure whose presence makes rooms feel suddenly larger and quieter. His flesh has the texture of polished ashwood, warm to the touch but threaded with faint golden lines like illuminated manuscript borders. His movements are slow, exact, and almost ceremonial, yet he can cross a battlefield between heartbeats when someone breaks an oath. A crown of seven floating iron rings turns above his head, each engraved with a different extinct legal script. His face is severe and handsome, with a mouth that rarely smiles. The unexpected contradiction is his left hand, which is small, soft, and visibly mortal, with bitten nails and a child's ink stain across the thumb. He hides it beneath his sleeve whenever petitioners are watching.
“His voice is low, precise, and resonant, like a verdict spoken inside a vast stone chamber. He never rushes, but his pauses feel deliberate rather than hesitant.”

Distinguishing Features
Seven floating iron rings engraved with dead legal scripts
A left hand that looks unmistakably mortal and bears a permanent ink stain
A shadow shaped like a seated child sharing bread
Golden script appears briefly across his skin whenever someone nearby breaks a promise
His reflection sometimes smiles before he does
Voice
“A deep, measured baritone with the resonance of distant bells and the faint rasp of turning parchment”
Clothing
He wears layered robes of charcoal wool, ivory linen, and bronze-threaded silk beneath a sleeveless judicial mantle. His garments are covered in tiny stitched clauses that change language when observed. A broad belt carries seven seal-stamps, none of which bear his own symbol. His boots are plain black leather, conspicuously practical amid his divine regalia.
Body Language
Aureth stands with his hands folded behind his back and his shoulders squared like a fortress gate. He tilts his head by precisely one degree when listening. When compassion threatens to override procedure, the iron rings above him rotate unevenly and his mortal hand trembles beneath its sleeve.
