Thalassa Morwen
Breach-Touched Tide Cultist
Thalassa Morwen
Species
Human, breach-touched
Appearance
Thalassa looks like a drowned saint who has somehow continued walking. Her olive-brown skin is slick with a constant sheen of seawater, even in dry rooms, and faint silver scales stipple her throat, wrists, and cheekbones. Her movements are fluid but slightly delayed, as though an unseen current is carrying her a heartbeat behind the world. A crown of dark hair hangs in long ropes that drip brine onto the floor, yet the ends remain perfectly dry and warm to the touch. Her left hand is delicate and almost graceful, while her right has swollen into a webbed, many-jointed shape that twitches whenever she hears waves. Despite her predatory presence, she has an unexpectedly gentle smile and carefully mends torn clothing by hand.
“Her voice is low, intimate, and almost soothing, with a faint echo as though spoken inside a seashell. When channeling Nhal-Azur, a second voice speaks beneath hers, arriving half a second late.”

Distinguishing Features
A webbed right hand with six narrow fingers and translucent joints
A line of tiny barnacle scars circling her neck like a necklace
A dry, warm lock of hair that never becomes wet
A black pearl embedded beneath the skin of her left palm
Her shadow sometimes moves like a tentacled creature even when she stands still
Voice
“A soothing contralto with a wet, echoing resonance, as though every word is spoken from the bottom of a flooded chapel”
Clothing
A salt-stiffened black coat stitched from funeral sailcloth, layered over a faded blue priest's robe. Copper hooks hold the coat closed, each engraved with the name of someone lost at sea. She wears one polished white boot and leaves the other foot bare, its toes joined by translucent webbing.
Body Language
She tilts her head as if listening to distant surf, keeps her webbed hand close to her chest, and rarely blinks. When angry, she becomes unnaturally still while thin streams of water crawl upward along her arms.
