Lyra Veil
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Lyra Veil looks like a person assembled from contradictions. Her movements are quiet and economical, with the careful balance of a cat crossing wet roof tiles, yet when startled she becomes startlingly still, as if someone has painted her into the world. Her skin bears a faint satin sheen, like moonlight caught beneath translucent stone. Fine silver scars branch from her left collarbone toward her throat, resembling cracks in a porcelain mask. A small brass bell is sewn beneath her sleeve, but it has never rung in anyone's hearing. She leaves an impression of fragile elegance until she smiles, revealing one blunt canine filed flat for biting through wire.
“Her voice is low, quick, and gently musical, with clipped pauses where other people might use hesitation. She rarely raises it.”

Distinguishing Features
Silver, branching scars across the left collarbone and throat.
A brass bell sewn beneath her left sleeve that produces no audible sound.
One blunt canine filed flat.
A pale birthmark shaped like a narrow doorway on her right palm.
Her shadow sometimes points toward the nearest hidden exit rather than following the light.
Voice
“A soft contralto with a breathy edge, like a whisper carried through a stone passage.”
Clothing
A charcoal traveling coat lined with faded gold thread, soft gray wrappings around her arms, a sleeveless rust-red tunic, fitted trousers, and mud-stained boots reinforced with thin metal plates. Her coat contains sewn-in map pockets, false seams, and a hidden hood embroidered with tiny stars.
Body Language
Lyra keeps her shoulders relaxed and her hands visible during conversation, but her weight remains subtly shifted toward the nearest exit. When lying, she touches the silver scars at her throat. When genuinely relieved, she leans against walls as if gravity has suddenly become heavier.
