Kharzun is a tall red dragonborn with brick-red scales that darken to charcoal around his wrists, jaw, and the ridges of his spine. His scales are not glossy like polished armor. They have a dry, pebbled texture, with several pale plates worn smooth by years of squeezing through chimneys, cellar windows, and collapsed tunnels. He moves with a thief's careful economy despite his heavy armor, placing each boot as if the floor might accuse him of trespassing. His left horn is broken halfway down and capped with a little brass sleeve, while the right horn curves intact over one eye. An unexpected softness follows him everywhere: tiny blue flowers have been painted across the inside of his battered shield, each one representing a person he has successfully smuggled to safety.
