Mara Orun
Inquisitive Rogue 7 / Squared Circle Pugilist 13
Mara Orun
Species
Human
Appearance
Mara is built like a compact siege engine, broad through the shoulders and hips, with the dense, weathered musculature of someone who has spent half her life lifting people who did not wish to be lifted. Her movements are economical until the instant they become explosive. She rolls her neck before violence, and the old scar tissue along her ribs pulls like pale rope beneath her skin. Her smile is soft, almost shy, but one of her front teeth is capped in polished brass and flashes whenever she lies. Her hands are heavily callused, her knuckles permanently swollen, and her left ear has been folded into a little crescent by years of grappling. The contradiction is impossible to miss: she looks capable of throwing a horse, yet handles frightened animals with exquisite gentleness.
“Her speech is quick, textured, and theatrical, alternating between intimate murmurs and booming ring-announcer declarations. She uses humor as a shield, names people often, and becomes frighteningly soft-spoken when truly angry.”

Distinguishing Features
Brass-capped front tooth that glints when she lies.
Left ear folded into a permanent crescent from old grappling injuries.
A championship belt covered in tiny engraved names.
A pale rib scar shaped like a crescent moon.
Her right thumb bears a small tattoo of an open hand, the Bellwether Ring's original sign.
Voice
“A warm contralto with a rasp beneath it, like velvet dragged over a wooden floor. Her laughter arrives easily, but her real anger lowers her voice until everyone nearby leans in.”
Clothing
A sleeveless burgundy wrestling coat over a cream wrap shirt, reinforced linen trousers, soft-soled boots, and a wide championship belt made from beaten copper. Her ring coat is lined with tiny stitched names of people she has defeated fairly. She wears no armor, only layered wraps beneath her clothing.
Body Language
Mara keeps her weight balanced on the balls of her feet, even while sitting. She flexes her fingers when anxious, taps two knuckles against her sternum before a difficult decision, and instinctively places herself between danger and the smallest person in the room.
