Krushcor Vell-Rook
Barbarian
Krushcor Vell-Rook
Species
Troll
Appearance
Krushcor is a broad-shouldered dock troll with a stance like a moored crane, always half turned as if he is watching two doors at once. His skin is the color of wet river stones under barnacle slime, ridged with old scar tissue that shines pale when the lanterns catch it. He has one broken tusk capped in brass, a left ear that bends like a torn sail, and hands so large that mugs look like toys in them. His movements are strangely delicate for something so huge, especially when he handles knives, coins, or delicate glass. The contradiction is hard to ignore: the ugliest brute in the room keeps the cleanest cuffs, the cleanest apron, and the most careful posture of any patron at the Squid and Mermaid.
“Low and gravelly, with careful enunciation that makes threats sound like rules being read aloud. He calls people by name only after he has decided they are worth remembering.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass-capped tusk chipped into a permanent half-grin
A lattice of white burn scars across his left ribs
Ink marks on three fingers from counting ledgers and winnings
A knife scar through one eyebrow that splits it into two uneven ridges
A faint smell of tar, lime, and storm rain that never fully leaves him
Voice
“A foghorn baritone softened by surprising patience, with a faint rasp like sand dragged over wet wood”
Clothing
A patched dockkeeper's vest over a sleeveless canvas shirt, heavy aprons reinforced with sailcloth, iron-toed boots, and a tarnished brass whistle on a cord. He wears a neat white neck rag that is always cleaner than it should be, even after a fight.
Body Language
Still as a post until action is needed, then all at once, like a dropped chain. He folds his hands behind his back when listening and tilts his head only a little, as if listening with the whole skull. When angry, he becomes unnervingly polite.
