Together they formed the Veiled Nightlords to prevent Radiance and Shadow from consuming the hidden currents of fate.

Reality is woven from three currents: Radiance, Shadow, and the Veiled Thread of Fate. The Celestials of Dawn strengthen Radiance, while the Obsidian Tribunal feeds on oppressive Shadow. The Veiled Nightlords maintain the shifting boundary between them. Veshala Nightveil presides but cannot overrule the others without risking schism. Mortal worship is organized through independent cells rather than a single hierarchy. Each cell maintains a clandestine shrine, answers to a masked keeper, and communicates through coded dreams, altered star charts, or messages hidden in legal records.

The Veiled Nightlords influence mortals through clandestine shrines, shadow-bound oaths, dream prophecies, coded correspondence, secret academies, masked judges, and pacts with dusk spirits. Their agents infiltrate courts, merchant houses, universities, spy networks, and revolutionary cells. Worshipers are not required to be uniformly good or evil, but they must respect secrecy, preserve balance, and resist any power seeking total control. The pantheon cooperates uneasily with the Obsidian Tribunal, Azaroth Blight Cult, and Nomadic Dream-Seers of the Shifting Isles while opposing domination by radiant or tyrannical powers.

The Veiled Nightlords guide the dead through the Dreaming Passage, a realm of moonlit roads, silent libraries, and doors shaped from forgotten memories. Veshala Nightveil determines which secrets the soul may carry onward, while Morchus Nightcloak weighs unfinished oaths. Nhalira Duskwatcher escorts the lost through prophetic dreams. Souls consumed by forbidden knowledge may be claimed by Othrys Veilrend, while those who betrayed the balance are judged beneath Vaelith Nocturne’s starless sky.
