The Sightless Lunar Path

The chamber is an octagonal sanctuary of cold obsidian and silver inlay. In the center of the floor sits a heavy stone trapdoor, its perimeter etched with silver runes that emit a soft, pulsing blue radiance. Four circular depressions surround the door, each containing a rotating stone disc depicting a different lunar phase. Despite the total darkness of the new moon outside, the chamber is lit by this spectral luminescence, casting long, shifting shadows against the tapestries of star-charts that line the walls.
