The Gloam-Stitcher's Dial

High upon the jagged spur of the Needle's Peak sits a circular stone platform, its surface etched with silver-chased grooves that catch the thin mountain light. Three concentric rings of black basalt are embedded into the floor, each carved with shifting, luminescent glyphs that smell faintly of ozone and crushed violets. In the center stands a gnarled ironwood post, topped with a glass sphere that traps a swirling mist of emerald and gold, pulsing like a slow-beating heart against the cold wind.
