The Three Vows of Halcyon Reach

A circular vault chamber opens around a bronze dais etched with three shallow grooves and a ring of crystal lenses that watch from the walls like unblinking eyes. The air smells of wet stone, old incense, and hot metal, and when anyone nears the dais the lenses flicker one by one, sending pale blue light across three plaques carved with a rising sun, a flowing river, and a standing sentinel. The chamber hums softly, as if it is listening for a correct answer, and every wrong touch makes the lenses flare before the room falls silent again.
