The Reedmask Crossing
A willow-shadowed bank opens onto a bend in the Feywild river, where the water runs clear as glass and then suddenly flashes like a mirror in moonlight. Seven rune-cut stones lean at odd angles beside three shallow basins, a reed braid, and a root-woven arch that will not fully part until the stones are chosen in the right order. When anyone nears the bank, the river surface ripples without wind and the stones answer with a faint chime, as if the whole shore is listening for a joke it has heard before.
