The chamber sits beneath a mesa of red stone in the Sundering Fields, dry wind whispering through hairline cracks and carrying the scent of sun-warmed dust and old incense. Pale pillars ring a circular floor of bronze and basalt, and every surface seems arranged to drink and return light, though the room is half-dark. At the far side, a seamless gate of chalk-white stone only reveals itself when a gleam touches its edge, at which point the engraved sunrise burns gold and a low chime answers from deep within the rock.
