The Cenotaph of the Four Winds

In the center of this chilled, circular vault stands a square obsidian table, its surface etched with a compass rose. Four heavy stone chalices sit scattered at the table's base, each inlaid with a different gemstone: a ruby, a sapphire, an emerald, and a topaz. Around the table, four high-backed stone thrones face the cardinal directions. Above the northern archway, a sprawling, faded mural depicts four faceless lords in a banquet hall, accompanied by a poem in common script. The air carries the faint, metallic scent of ozone, and the silence is punctuated only by the occasional vibration of the floor.
