The Willow Gate of Three Truths
At the bend of a pale river in the Feywild, a willow arch leans over a bank of glassy mud and moon-bright reeds. Three carved charms hang from vine cords above four shallow hollows in a stone plinth, and every drop that splashes the surface rings like a tiny bell. The river keeps rearranging your reflections, turning one face into two, then three, while the arch breathes out the scent of wet bark, foxfire, and rain on warm stone. When the correct pattern is approached, the water sings softly and the arch unfurls its branches; when it is wrong, the current shivers backward and the charms chime in annoyance.
