The Three Offerings of the Waystone
A round cavern opens around a slick black floor that mirrors torchlight like still water. Three narrow exits stand in the far wall, each framed by a different carving: a bone, a fern, and a flame. In the center, three stone pedestals wait beneath a cracked slate tablet, and thin streams of mineral water drip into a shallow basin. When anything is placed correctly, the matched carving warms and gives off a faint glow, while a wrong placement makes the chamber shudder and sends a puff of damp dust from the floor grates.
