The Sylvan Sentinel's Song

The air in this clearing is thick with the scent of pine and ancient magic, centered around a massive, leafless white oak. Four weathered standing stones encircle the tree, each bearing a single rune that glows with a faint, pulsing emerald light. Beneath the tree, a stone plinth holds a brass plaque engraved with flowing script, and the ground vibrates softly as if a great machine or heart beats beneath the roots.
