The Crimson Cadence Vault
A massive door of polished red lacquer blocks the path, its surface so smooth it reflects the flickering torchlight like a pool of blood. Set into the wood are four bronze masks of muses, each with a different wide-eyed expression of song. Below these masks, four heavy brass chime-pipes are sunken into the floor, emitting a faint, rhythmic thrumming sound and a soft, orange glow from their hollow centers. The air smells faintly of ozone and heated metal, vibrating with a low-frequency hum that resonates in the chests of all who stand near.
