The Path of the Unfolding Horizon

At the jagged summit of the Cobalt Mountains, the trail terminates at a precipice overlooking a sea of churning white clouds. Seven obsidian shards, each the size of a kite shield, float in a slow, hypnotic orbit around a central pedestal made of translucent blue stone. The air here is thin and tastes of metallic ozone, vibrating with a low, resonant hum that resonates in the players' teeth. Upon the pedestal sits a shallow basin filled with liquid silver that reflects a sky the players cannot see. Carved into the rim of the basin are faint, shimmering verses that glow with a soft azure light when approached.
