The Severed Choir's Fourfold Rite
A circular dungeon chamber opens around a raised black dais ringed by four altar niches and a floor mosaic of a severed halo. The air smells of old wax, cold iron, and damp stone. Each niche bears a different symbol, flame, eye, blade, and tongue, while faint red veins in the floor pulse only when someone carries a ritual token too near. A sealed stone door at the far side shudders with each wrong placement, and from the central slab comes the soft sound of a choir breathing behind walls.
