The Celestial Chronometer of Xyleth
The chamber is a wide circle with a floor crafted from polished obsidian, inlaid with silver to form a complex star map. At the center, a brass pillar rises toward the ceiling, topped with a mechanical arm that slowly rotates like the hand of a clock. Four marble basins are positioned at the cardinal directions, each glowing with a soft, distinct light. The air is heavy with the scent of ozone and the rhythmic, metallic ticking of unseen gears beneath the floorboards.
