The chamber is an expanse of polished white marble, illuminated by a central pillar of vibrating, violet-white radiance that hums with a low, bone-deep frequency. This light provides no warmth; instead, the air is bitingly cold, smelling of ozone and frozen stone. Four heavy pedestals carved from transparent crystal stand at the cardinal points, each holding a multi-faceted lens that vibrates in sync with the pillar. At the far end of the hall, a massive door of seamless obsidian stands as a void in the brightness, absorbing all light that touches it without casting a shadow.
