The Founder's Four Dials

The village elder's study is a mess of shredded papers and overturned furniture, smelling of sour goblin breath and stale ink. At the far end stands a reinforced oak door, remarkably untouched by the chaos. Four heavy brass dials are embedded in the center of the wood, each etched with a different symbol of industry. The mechanism hums with a faint, low vibration when touched, and the air around the door feels slightly warmer than the rest of the drafty room.
