The Threefold Ward of the Sunken Archive
The ruined chamber is circular and cold, its floor cut with concentric rings of worn stone that all lead to a central dais wrapped in tarnished silver inlay. Faded murals show masked wardens placing hands over a tomb door while three glyphs repeat through the lintel: a sunburst, an eye, and a knot. When the dais is touched, blue-white light crawls through the grooves, the wall recesses answer with a low chime, and the sentinel statues crack their eyes open like lanterns that have not decided whether to judge or awaken.
