An impossibly long cathedral hall stretches into a gray mist, its vaulted ceiling draped in thousands of bronze church bells of varying sizes. Spectral vapors drift between the chimes, taking the faint shapes of weeping spirits who whisper a rhythmic, overlapping litany of names. The air carries the chill of the Grave and the heavy scent of funeral lilies. On the floor, twelve master bells are arranged in a semicircle around a central, obsidian bell that remains eerily silent. Every few moments, a deep vibration shakes the floor, and the players feel a piece of their identity slip away like water through fingers.
