Underbough resemble compact, long-eared mammals with broad feet, powerful hindquarters, and expressive whiskers. Underbough settlements are grown and carved rather than built. Their warrens follow natural cracks, tree roots, and underground streams, with rounded doorways, low communal halls, nursery chambers, and hidden escape routes.
