Its body is woven from colored radiance, drifting motes, and fine rune-lines that pulse beneath the skin like illuminated veins. The face may resemble the original mortal form, but details often blur at the edges or shift when the Echo accesses stored memories. Hair falls in weightless luminous strands, eyes shine like twin apertures, and the Memory Core manifests somewhere near the chest, skull, or spine as a floating crystal sigil. When damaged, the projection breaks into colored panes and stuttering glyphs before drawing itself together with a hiss of static and the scent of hot metal.

Their society is built around preservation, revision, and consent. Echoes maintain communal Memory Cores where experiences are voluntarily deposited, indexed, and debated. Public history is treated as a living structure, with disputed memories displayed in parallel rather than forced into a single account. Art takes the form of sensory simulations, projected dreamscapes, and rune compositions that can be heard, seen, and felt. Lunaris Echo enclaves rise around Memory Core vaults. Their halls are built from dark glass, pale stone, and conductive silver inlays, with doorways shaped as overlapping arches that resemble both leaves and circuit diagrams. Every chamber bears layered runes that record its history. Floors hum beneath the feet, crystal conduits glow behind translucent walls, and suspended bridges connect towers of mirrors, lenses, and engraved metal.

Lunaris Echoes are treated as miracles, abominations, or valuable property depending on the culture that encounters them. Scholars seek their memories, rulers fear their independence, and families sometimes mistake them for the restored dead. Echoes struggle to explain that continuity of memory does not guarantee continuity of identity. Some form close bonds with mortals who help them experience the world through sensation rather than observation.
