Hook
Sky bazaars and arcane towers keep the whole ring fed, paid, and watched.
The Atrix Isles are a ring of eleven separated continents orbiting a floating central world, all linked by the living Atrix Web. Atrix Isle serves as the trade-heart, treaty-seat, and arcane engine room of the whole sphere. Every other realm depends on it, resents it, or plans to seize it, while sea routes, sky lanes, and old grudges keep the archipelago tense and alive.

The first city-states rose around Atrix Isle when the Atrix Web was discovered and the seas stopped feeling endless. Trade, warding, and shared skyways made the eleven outer realms possible.
When rival lords tried to seize the Web, the continents fought across sea lanes, reefs, and air routes until a fragile compact fixed the current borders and patrol rights.
The realms built schools, foundries, and councils on top of old grudges, turning the Atrix Isles into a connected market of wonders, spies, and uneasy alliances.
Now the Web stutters, old sea roads vanish, and every realm suspects another of stealing the power that keeps the ring together.
A Web conduit has gone dark, and the missing crew may know who sabotaged the route.
A council seat on Atrix Isle is vacant, and every realm sends agents to influence the vote.
A pearl dredge in the Marblewalk Archipelago has uncovered something that should not breathe.
A caravan from Caverna arrives with duergar refugees fleeing a forge revolt.
A warship from Frostspire claims the northern route belongs to them now.
The Web is fed by a hidden pact made with the dead during the founding age.
