Hook
The central vaults hum with the power that holds the world together.
Atrix Isles is a ring world of eleven separated realms circling the floating Atrix Isle, all tied together by the living Atrix Web. The center holds the busiest cities, while the outer continents keep their own peoples, customs, and grudges. Trade is fast, politics are tangled, and every storm, sabotage, or missing anchor can echo across the whole world.
Themes
Form · Sphere
A central floating continent sits in the middle of a wide ocean, with eleven separate continents spread around it in a loose ring. No land touches land, and the sea is the true border between realms.
Traversal
Travel happens by sea, skyship, and the Atrix Web. The center is reachable by relay routes and anchor gates, while outer realms cross water or use controlled portal spans.

Protect trade, smuggle goods, and profit from every border.
Preserve ancient rites, local rule, and old bloodlines against central control.
Exploit weakened anchors to raid, steal, and take territory.

Stakes Control of the anchor-stones decides who can tax passage, move armies, and shape the world’s future.
The Atrix Isle was raised from the sea and bound by the Atrix Web, turning scattered lands into a single trade world. The outer continents learned to rely on the center for passage, law, and shared defense.
The eleven realms settled into a rough balance, each guarding its own coast, sky, or deep places while sending goods and delegates to the center. Rival ports, forge-cities, and pilgrim routes made the ring prosper, but also made every blockade a crisis.
The Atrix Web has begun to thin in places, making storms stranger, magic less reliable, and old debts harder to ignore. Powers now compete to control the anchors that keep the world linked.
A key anchor-stone vanishes from the central vault, and every realm blames a different neighbor.
A caravan route through the Web starts opening to the wrong places, including sealed ruins and private fortresses.
Three outer realms quietly arm their fleets, claiming they must protect themselves if the center falls.
A dead hero speaks through a broken relay and names the first builder of the Atrix Web as a traitor.
The Atrix Isles were built around a sealed breach below the central isle, and the Web is also a lock.
Discovery · Old anchor maps disagree with the newer ones by one hidden coastline.
Impact · The world may not be a natural ring at all, but a constructed one with a buried purpose.
The Atrix Web feeds on the memory of the deceased to stabilize long-distance magic.
Discovery · Certain relay stones sing only when carried near the dead.
Impact · The soul route can be used to move messages, memories, or worse.
The Black Wake has found a way to steer weather through damaged anchors.
Discovery · A storm that repeats the same shape appears on charts from three different realms.
Impact · Someone is testing a weapon or ritual that can tear the ring apart in stages.
