Construct Awakening Rack
An iron framework bolted to the cavern wall holds several limp, metallic husks. Leaking shadow conduits connect the racks to a central calibration platform, ready to jump-start the constructs with unstable necrotic energy.

Defenses
Detection
“Three porcelain-masked constructs hang from rusted hooks. Heavy black pipes, slick with a tar-like residue, snake behind them into the stone. A small, waist-high stone platform with brass dials sits at the center of the array.”
Standard Engagement
The hazard activates if a sudden loud noise occurs within 30 feet, a bright light source (such as a torch or Light spell) is brought within 15 feet, or the calibration platform is moved or tampered with.
None
The rack slowly draws in shadow energy from the surrounding cavern, resetting itself after 1 hour.
The shadow conduits rupture, spraying uneven energy. All creatures in a 15-foot cone facing away from the rack take 4d6 void damage (DC 21 basic Reflex save).
1 to 3 constructs partially animate and lunge from their hooks. One random creature within 10 feet of the rack must succeed at a DC 21 Reflex save or be Grabbed by a construct. The construct is immobile and has Hardness 5 and 10 HP; it can be Escaped with a DC 19 check.
If a creature uses a light source with the Light trait (like a lantern or spell) within the room, the DC to Disable the hazard increases by 2 due to the conduits fluctuating wildly.
