Sanguine Haze of Xal-Vash
This heavy, crimson vapor consists of ancient blood held in a necrotic suspension. It clings to the ground and reacts to the heat of living bodies, swirling aggressively around anyone who enters its space.

Detection
“A thick, waist-high fog the color of a fresh wound. It smells strongly of copper and ozone, and faint, whispering screams can be heard from within the swirling particles.”
Standard Engagement
A creature enters the area of the mist or starts its turn within it.
None
The mist is replenished by enchanted vents in the floor. If dispersed, it reforms completely after 1 hour.
A creature that triggers the mist must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the creature takes 2d10 psychic damage and becomes poisoned for 1 minute. While poisoned in this way, the creature perceives all allies as hostile, vengeful spirits. The creature must use its action to make a melee or ranged attack against the nearest ally it can see. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
If a creature fails the saving throw by 5 or more, they are also blinded by a film of blood over their eyes until the end of their next turn.
