The plant requires 24 hours to regrow its pods and build up enough internal pressure to burst again.
When triggered, the pods explode in a 10-foot burst. All creatures in the area take 2d6 piercing damage from the hardened thorns and must attempt a DC 18 Reflex save. On a Success, the creature is unaffected by the resin. On a Failure, the creature is Immobilized by the sticky sap. On a Critical Failure, the creature is Immobilized and also Clumsy 1 from the weight and stiffness of the resin. A creature can attempt to Escape (DC 18) to remove the Immobilized condition.
If the resin-coated area or the bush itself is targeted by a fire effect, the resin ignites. Any creature currently Immobilized by the resin takes 1d6 fire damage at the start of its turn for 3 rounds or until the resin is washed off with at least a gallon of alcohol or oil.
