When triggered, the central gear spins at an impossible speed. Each creature within 15 feet must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 22 (4d10) force damage and is Slowed (as the spell) until the end of its next turn as their personal time-stream is fractured. On a success, the creature takes half damage and is not slowed.
While within 15 feet of the active hazard, all terrain is considered difficult terrain as time fluctuates unpredictably, making every step feel heavier or lighter than expected.
