Whispering Grave-Silt
A 5-foot square of soil that has become supernaturally fine and grey. It vibrates with the muffled, overlapping voices of those buried beneath it, acting like a shallow pit of necrotic quicksand.

Detection
“The ground looks like harmless, pale wood ash or extremely dry silt. Tiny puffs of dust rise from it even when there is no wind.”
Standard Engagement
A creature steps into the 5-foot square area of the silt.
None
The silt naturally shifts and resets its loose consistency after 1 hour.
When a creature triggers the hazard, it must succeed on a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw or sink knee-deep and become Restrained.
A creature that starts its turn Restrained by the silt must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, it takes 1d6 psychic damage from the maddening whispers and is Frightened of the silt until the start of its next turn.
A restrained creature can use its action to make a DC 12 Strength (Athletics) check to free itself. Another creature within 5 feet can use an action to make the same check to pull them out.
Splashing a flask of Holy Water onto the silt or dealing 5 or more radiant damage to it instantly settles the earth, rendering it harmless for 24 hours.
