Whisper-Grip Spore Pods
Hidden among the river stones and vibrant moss are fleshy, bulbous pods that blend perfectly with the wet silt. They are rigged with nearly invisible silk tripwires that, when snapped, cause the pods to rupture in a puff of iridescent, irritating spores.

Detection
“Small, greenish-gray sacs the size of a fist, partially buried in the mud or tucked under rotting logs. They have a wet, organic sheen and tiny silver threads extending from their openings.”
Standard Engagement
A creature walks through a space containing a pod or snaps one of the gossamer threads.
None
The pod is consumed upon use and does not reset. New pods may grow over 1d4 weeks.
When triggered, the pod explodes in a 10-foot radius cloud. Each creature in the area must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the creature takes 1d6 poison damage and is Poisoned for 1 minute. While Poisoned in this way, the creature is overcome by fits of uncontrollable giggling, granting disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and Dexterity saving throws.
The gossamer threads are extremely light. Wind or flowing water does not trigger them, but any Solid object or creature passing through causes an immediate rupture.
