Standard Engagement
A creature moves within 5 feet of the front of the maiden.
None (This simple hazard triggers once per target that enters its range until it is full).
The maiden automatically resets after 1 hour or once its current occupant is released by the internal mechanism.
When triggered, the maiden snaps open and dozens of tentacles lash out. The triggering creature must succeed at a DC 24 Reflex save or be pulled inside as the door slams shut. On a failure, the creature is Restrained (Escape DC 22).
A creature trapped inside is tickled mercilessly. At the start of each of their turns, the victim must make a DC 21 Will save. On a failure, they are Overcome with Laughter (becoming Slowed 1 and unable to speak or cast spells with verbal components). On a critical failure, the victim also becomes Sickened 1 from the physical exhaustion of laughing.
The iron maiden is magically reinforced to dampen sound. Anyone outside hears only a faint, rhythmic thumping, making it difficult to realize a victim is in distress without a DC 15 Perception check.
