Detection
“Translucent violet quartz spires, each standing six feet tall and glowing with a faint, internal rhythmic light that pulses like a heartbeat.”
Standard Engagement
A creature moves within 15 feet of any of the three pylons.
None
The pylons require 1 hour to re-attune their vibrations before they can trigger again.
The pylons emit a piercing chime in a 20-foot burst centered in the middle of the pylon triangle. All creatures in the area must attempt a DC 24 Fortitude save. On a Critical Success, the creature is unaffected. On a Success, the creature takes 2d10+5 sonic damage. On a Failure, the creature takes 4d10+10 sonic damage and is deafened for 1 minute. On a Critical Failure, the creature takes 8d10+20 sonic damage and is permanently deafened.
If a creature is carrying a glass or crystal object when the Shattering Chord triggers, that object must succeed at a DC 24 Fortitude save or be broken.
