Searing Cinder-Puff Cluster
A collection of pale, bulbous mushrooms with orange-veined caps that pulse with faint geothermal heat. When disturbed, they explode in a cloud of incendiary spores that ignite upon contact with the air.

Defenses
Detection
“Clusters of fist-sized, semi-translucent fungi growing in the damp crevices of a cavern. They emit a faint, smoky odor and a dim orange glow.”
Standard Engagement
A creature enters the space containing the Cinder-Puffs or deals damage to them.
None
The fungi regrow and reach maturity after 2d4 days.
When triggered, the cluster explodes in a 10-foot emanation. Each creature in the area takes 2d6 fire damage and must attempt a DC 17 Reflex save. On a critical failure, the creature is also Dazzled for 1 round by the sudden chemical flash.
Spiders and other vermin native to the cavern have developed a waxy coating that makes them immune to the Searing Cinder-Puff's fire damage and dazzled condition.
If one Cinder-Puff cluster is triggered, any other clusters within its emanation must succeed at a DC 15 Fortitude save or also explode, potentially creating a massive chain reaction in the cave system.
