The Kairos Bridge Ruins
A shattered span of obsidian stone blocks floating over a deep ravine. The air around the bridge is thick with a grey, unnatural fog that smells of copper and grave dirt.

Detection
“Jagged segments of a bridge hang suspended in the air by invisible threads of magic. Flickering translucent images of soldiers falling to their deaths repeat every few seconds, their silent screams visible on their ghostly faces.”
Standard Engagement
A living creature steps onto the central floating fragment or attempts to fly through the gap between the fragments.
N/A
The haunt resets every dusk as the spectral energy re-coalesces from the surrounding ether.
When triggered, the bridge erupts in a 20 foot radius sphere of grey energy. Each creature in the area must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, a creature takes 4d10 necrotic damage and its speed is halved until the end of its next turn as its body momentarily withers. On a success, it takes half as much damage and its speed is not reduced.
The floating stones shift slightly. Any creature that takes damage from the hazard must also succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone on the fragment.
