Defenses
Detection
“A faint, humanoid-shaped distortion in the air that refracts the light of the hall chandeliers like a cracked prism. When active, it manifests as a towering warrior composed of purple nebula clouds and golden starlight.”
Standard Engagement
A creature within the Grand Hall deals damage to another creature or casts a spell of 1st level or higher without first speaking the daily bypass phrase or presenting a Sigil of the Lion.
None (Simple Hazard)
The Praetorian disappears and resets after 1 hour if no further hostile actions are detected in the hall.
Reaction: The Praetorian lashes out with a polearm of pure force against the triggering creature. Melee Attack: +16 to hit; Damage: 2d10+11 force damage. On a critical hit, the target is also Slowed 1 for 1 round as their body partially phases out of the Material Plane.
The Praetorian cannot move from the Grand Hall. It has a reach of 15 feet and can target any creature within the hall as long as the trigger condition is met.
Even if the Praetorian is reduced to 0 HP, it is merely banished to its home plane. It reforms automatically after 24 hours unless the focus mirrors are permanently destroyed.
