The veil regrows over 24 hours unless the area is sprinkled with holy water or a Calm Emotions spell is cast on the site.
When triggered, the veil releases a burst of concentrated sorrow. The triggering creature and all creatures within 10 feet must attempt a DC 21 Will save. Critical Success: The creature is unaffected. Success: The creature takes 1d10 mental damage and is Frightened 1. Failure: The creature takes 2d10 mental damage, is Frightened 2, and is Immobilized by sticky, spectral silk (Escape DC 19). Critical Failure: The creature takes 4d10 mental damage, is Frightened 3, and is Restrained by the silk (Escape DC 19).
The Frightened condition imposed by this trap does not decrease at the end of the creature's turn as long as they are Immobilized or Restrained by the veil.
