Nivara Damaré
Rogue
Nivara Damaré
Species
Goblin
Appearance
Nivara is a small goblin woman with a narrow, quick-moving frame and hands permanently darkened by soot, old blood, and machine grease. Her skin is olive green with pale mineral freckles across her nose, while her cropped hair is a tangled gray-brown mat threaded with copper wire. One ear is pierced with a bent brass button, and the other bears a row of tiny bite scars from an unknown animal. She moves with a hunched, birdlike alertness, always seeming ready to slip between two stones, yet when she is exhausted she becomes strangely statuesque, standing perfectly still for minutes at a time. Her face suggests sly amusement, but her eyes carry the wary patience of someone who has watched entire settlements disappear.
“Her voice is quick, dry, and unexpectedly musical, with a soft rolling cadence that turns ordinary words into little bargains. She lowers her volume when discussing danger, as if danger might overhear her.”

Distinguishing Features
A white scar crosses her lower lip and turns upward like a crooked smile.
She wears a tiny brass key around her neck, though she does not know what it opens.
Her left canine is capped with blue ceramic.
She has a habit of smelling rainwater before drinking it.
Her shadow sometimes appears to move a heartbeat before she does, a phenomenon she refuses to discuss.
Voice
“A low, bright contralto with a rasp at the edges, like a song played through a cracked radio speaker.”
Clothing
Layered rags made from faded funeral cloth, grain sacks, and strips of sail canvas. She wears no armor. A belt of knotted cord holds pouches, bottle caps, bent nails, and a cracked child-sized shoe.
Body Language
Her shoulders remain angled toward the nearest exit, and her fingers constantly sort bits of wire in her pocket. When she trusts someone, she sits with her back to them, an act of profound confidence for her.
