Deyla Widm
Druid
Deyla Widm
Species
Kalashtar
Appearance
An older kalashtar woman whose stillness feels deliberate rather than frail. Her face is narrow and weathered, with fine lines gathered around steady eyes that seem to weigh consequences before they weigh people. She moves with the economical balance of someone accustomed to mud, snow, burning fields, and long roads, placing each foot as if the ground has offered testimony. Her hands are broad-knuckled and scarred from agricultural work, though her posture retains traces of formal diplomatic training. The unexpected contradiction is her smile: sudden, warm, and almost mischievous, appearing most often when someone has mistaken patience for surrender.
“Low, measured, and unhurried. Deyla rarely raises her voice.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin pale scar crosses the left side of her chin and disappears beneath her collar.
Her eyes remain fixed on a speaker with unusual steadiness, but her expression softens when she looks at frightened animals or hungry children.
The fingers of her left hand are permanently stained with dark green dye from years of marking field stores and Warden records.
A small geometric Adaran-inspired pattern is stitched inside her cloak where only she can see it.
She carries herself with formal diplomatic precision until someone is injured, at which point every gesture becomes immediate and practical.
Voice
“A low, dry contralto with a faint Adaran cadence. Her words carry the feeling of a lamp being uncovered in a dark room.”
Clothing
Layered Warden travel clothes in deep green, brown, and undyed linen, reinforced for brush and rain. Her outer cloak bears subtle Adaran-inspired geometric stitching rather than heraldic display. She wears outdated formal Aundairian clothing carefully folded among her possessions for diplomatic work, though she dislikes putting it on.
Body Language
Deyla stands nearly motionless while listening, one hand resting lightly on her wooden staff. When she reaches a decision, she shifts her weight forward by a fraction and taps the staff once against the ground. She rubs the edge of her thumb against the staff’s grain whenever she is resisting anger.
