Kestrel Vey
Warlock, Fiend Patron
Kestrel Vey
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Kestrel Vey wears his body like a carefully rehearsed disguise. His skin is deep burgundy with a faint velvety sheen, but old burns have left pale branching scars across his left shoulder and ribs. Two swept-back horns rise from his brow like polished black antlers, each wrapped with tiny copper rings that chime only when he lies. His long tail moves with a separate, listening attention, curling around chair legs or tracing the edges of doorways. He walks softly and rarely turns his whole head, preferring to watch through the corner of one amber eye. The unexpected contradiction is his smile, which is broad, warm, and almost boyish, completely at odds with his predatory stillness and reputation as a killer.
“His voice is velvet-soft and carefully paced, with a faint rasp like a match being struck. He speaks in intimate half-confidences, drops into Infernal when angry, and laughs at his own jokes a heartbeat too late.”

Clothing
A charcoal longcoat lined with reversible crimson silk, close-fitted black trousers, soft-soled boots, and a high collar fastened by a tarnished silver moth. His gloves contain hidden wire, chalk, and lock picks. The coat's inner seams are embroidered with tiny names, each belonging to someone he has saved, betrayed, or failed.
Body Language
He leans slightly toward people when they speak, giving the impression of intimacy, while his feet remain angled toward the nearest exit. His fingers constantly measure distances between objects. When truly angry, he becomes perfectly motionless except for the slow tightening of his tail.
