Appearance
Gioran Meskheli is tall and spare, with the controlled stillness of a man accustomed to being watched. His narrow face is lined around the mouth rather than the eyes, as though he has spent decades refusing to react. His scalp is completely shaved, and four ink-black lines run from his throat over his skull, each line interrupted at the brow to represent flesh, breath, memory, and name. His ceremonial armor fits like an officer's harness beneath layered vestments of soot-gray wool and black silk. An iron halo of four incomplete rings hovers behind his head, suspended by thin chains fixed to his shoulders. The rings click softly whenever he lies. His hands are long, dry, and unexpectedly gentle, with immaculate nails and ink stains in the creases of his fingers. He moves with economical precision, never hurrying even when threatened. The contradictory impression he leaves is that of a funeral director who looks more prepared to comfort the dead than to create them.
“Quiet, measured, and perfectly articulated. Gioran sounds like a lecturer addressing a difficult but promising student.”

Distinguishing Features
Four black lines tattooed from throat to crown, each broken at the brow.
An iron halo of four incomplete rings connected to his armor by fine chains.
A small white scar beneath his tongue, left by a ritual blade.
A scepter shaped like a closed doorway with no handle.
The second halo ring is cracked and emits a faint sound like a fingernail tapping glass.
He smells faintly of cold stone, lamp oil, and dried mountain herbs.
Voice
“A low, dry baritone with a soft mountain lilt. His voice is never loud, but it carries through stone corridors with unsettling clarity.”
Clothing
Dark steel half-plate edged in tarnished silver, covered by layered black and ash-gray vestments. His collar is stitched with four vertical seams. He wears a chain of small iron keys beneath his robes and a pair of soft black boots designed to make almost no sound.
Body Language
Gioran stands with his feet aligned as if on a marked ceremonial floor. He keeps one hand near his scepter and the other folded over his sternum. He rarely blinks during difficult questions. When forced to confront genuine affection, he looks toward the nearest doorway and rubs the second finger of his left hand against his thumb.
